Our first flu clinic was attended by 270 patients - thank you!

Our next flu clinic is being held on Saturday, October 26th,  from 8.00 to 10.00am.

It is for all eligible patients 18 and over.  No appointment necessary!

Health Promotion

asthma_inhaler_5The Leybourne Surgery has a policy of encouraging a healthy lifestyle, i.e. non-smoking, moderate alcohol consumption, healthy diet and regular exercise.

We run Well-Man, Well-Woman, Cardiac, Asthma/COPD and Diabetic Clinics. We will make available to you information about:

  • Steps you can take to encourage good health and avoid illness.
  • Things you can do in the first instance (self-help) without talking to a doctor in the case of minor ailments .

You are responsible for your continuing good health and that of your children.

If you are given professional advice and help, please ACT ON IT.

Health Visitor:

We do not have an on site health visitor and all Child Health Clinics are held at various sites around Bournemouth. Please see notices in surgery.

Phlebotomy

Blood tests clinics are held every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings at the surgery.

Asthma/COPD Nurse

Our Practice Nurse see's Asthma patients of all age groups.

Chiropody, Footcare & Physiotherapy

These services have been removed from the Practice & all GP surgeries by the Bournemouth Primary Care Trust, as of 1 April 2006.

Physiotherapy will be relocated to either East Way Clinic, Southbourne Surgery, RBH Physio unit or the Christchurch Hospital Physio unit.

Chiropody will move to either East Way or Pelham's clinics.

These services are now arranged after referral to a Management Centre and then organised from there.
